The last and final stage of my table making saga. This time I finish the over-complicated shelf slats with dovetails and do the dreaded final step of putting a finish on. I can't stress to you how anxious I get doing this. I've opted for linseed oil and wax as it's much more forgiving than other methods, at the expense of durability. I think in this case, it won't be a big deal.

This one's a three parter. I have always enjoyed making things and I recently had the opportunity to make a piece of furniture by hand to support my new obsession: 3D printing. Why not use a store bought, pack flat IKEA table? Because then I couldn't spend three weeks in a cold garage painstakingly chiseling wood, silly.

I've been intensely side-eyeing the Creality Falcon A1 laser engraver/cutter, particularly since reading this seemingly very honest review (https://grouchyfarmer.com/2025/06/05/laser-engravers-creality-falcon-a1-review/) that states you should be able to cut medium-heavy plywood (around 5 - 7 mm). Since that would be a major use case for me, anyone around with first-hand experience?
