Von den Grundlagen über's messen & testen kommen wir als nächstes zum #loraahamm Sub-Topic "Integrate-them-all". Idee: #FreiFunk und #LoRaWAN , #homeassistant (#zigbee) & #EMS (#modbus) über einen Multiprotocol Router / Gateway zu bespielen.

Was meint ihr? Lieber Router/Gateway ergänzen oder nen NUC from scratch aufbauen (6)?
#solar people: does someone have energy measurement on the actual power line and hooked up to a IoT-WAN like #LoraWAN ? A #thingsnetwork gateway should be visible there. Something pretty roughly thumb-sized would be ideal, so it could fit into an existing cable junction.
the inverter I have publishes power once every 5 min to WiFi and my AP doesn't reach it anyway.
So I feel like it would be the overall nicer thing to disregard it anyway.

Alten Magnetfuß mit SMA passend zum Lora-Modul gefunden. M3-Gewindestange passte rein. Etwas gekürzt. VSWR:

Und auf 433,775 (Lora) 1,289:1.

btw: bei Senetic gibt es gerade die Mikrotik R11e-LORA8 für 28,50€. Damit kann man sich mit dem Semtech picoGW packet forwarder und einem mPCIe -> USB-Adapter ein sehr preisgünstiges #LoRaWAN Gateway bauen - zusammen mit einem NUC (RPi täte auch) mein aktuelles Eventgateway.

Last night I used my new toy, a NanoVNA-H4, to make and tune a simple antenna for 920MHz #meshtastic . It was great fun! I put together an antenna that hits 1.35 SWR in free air at the target frequency in half an hour with some workshop junk.
I am very far from being a competent radio ham, but my antenna outperformed the one that came with my Heltec V3, so I'm happy. I got a packet out to my local #brisbane meshtastic network.
Wondering if there's still (community driven) #TheThingsNetwork stuff going on out there?
Just had an interesting conversation about combining #Meshtastic and #LoRaWAN, like one as a fallback to the other. Has anyone ever tried that?
