My new lock picks arrived already. Gotta say, Covert Instruments picks are pretty good. The gravpick will probably start living in my pocket. I put a short hook on it in place of the wave rake. I'm more comfortable with SPP.

Here are the 22 beautiful love locks I relocated with my partner yesterday!
I think I'm nearing 100 now (since starting in the last month or two) and so I've started planning out a couple art projects to celebrate all these couples, their lovely locks, and the locksport community.
Plan:
- acquire a thousand love locks
- catalogue all of them with photos and notes for a gallery
- work with welders/artists on metal structures to hang the locks (like tree & flower shapes)
- permits and location for installation
- relocate locks to installation
- add lockboxes for love notes & geocaches
- convince lovers and locksporters to keep adding to it until it becomes a Seattle landmark
If you can/want to help with any part of this, please contact me (info on my profile, or respond here)
InB4 "are you breaking all these couples up??"
No, at least no more so than the ravages of time and weather on sharpie and cheap metal. Here's hoping their love is stronger than any hardened steel shackle.

> A key that opens many locks is a master key. A lock that is opened by many keys... And that's why they call it "#MasterLock".

#lockpicking haben wir schon mal. #gpn #gpn23

Me who has never picked a lock: "THE INFAMOUS CH751! WHAT A ROOKIE MISTAKE!" (s t e) #LockpickingLawyer #Lockpicking
Hey lock pickers. Moving into the suburbs and after I buy a house I'll be changing the locks (obviously).
The price for a good medeco lock from my local smith is higher than I can do right now, and I'm looking at getting a Schlage B60 for each entry door. From my reading it appears to be a 5 pin re-keyable lock. However, I haven't picked/taken one apart to judge for myself yet.
Anyone have any input or information sources? There's windows which would act as the alternate entry path for a determine burglar.
Does anyone have the code sheet/tables (if that's the right term) for the Lowe & Fletcher 85000-series locks?
I think it's a pin or wafer tumbler. Key can be inserted both ways, two sets of cuts mirrored about the centre.
LF55 or SLF85 blank, key codes 85000 and 85002 -- I'm after the cutting parameters.
(These are SJ Research MDFS and Nexus fileserver control keys - they're used to turn the server on and off and enable the maintenance features)
After Flare-ing a few bandits, Ponders moves deeper into Vilverin.
Lots of crystals, Welkynd stones, and lockpicking to be done.
Been working all day for #easter for my daughter. We're not religious. I don't know when this started, but for many years now my kid is visited every year by the Easter Badger. Important things about the Easter Badger:
Is totally real, unlike Santa, Easter Bunny, etc., who are fake and also stupid and EB finds them socially annoying
Spells very badly, including their own name
Steals all of daughter's candy and hides it in a complicated series of lockboxes and hiding places, with (badly-spelled) clues to the combinations and next stash of candy
Finds time to trash talk the Easter Bunny, Santa, the Tooth Fairy, et al. while writing clues in very bad penmanship
Does all of this out of love for my daughter
Also out of spite, vindictiveness, and to spread anti-Santa/Easter Bunny propaganda (a.k.a. "consciousness raising" or "accurate information")
Edit: This year the EB has gone digital (their HTML skills are almost as minimal as mine):
Most of the clues are on ultra-basic websites like this, which helps EB b/c I--I mean they--can adjust a clue while the hunt is on by editing a page:
https://easterbadger.com/purplepurpl.html
And I think it's set up so it's difficult (hopefully impossible) to see any of these pages without knowing and typing in the URL. My kid can do the latter, but neither of us are coders or webdevs so any advanced hacking is beyond us.
Note: They got very distracted with EB's use of physical padlocks for some puzzles so they've been picking locks for an hour. :) Happy moments.
Wie knackt man so ein Schloss?
Es soll ein „Druckknopf-Zahlenschloss” oder auch “Push Button Lock” sein.
