We're entering an era with limited access to vaccines. The BEST tool we have available to us needs to be a staple again: default to masking in shared spaces unless otherwise negotiated.

For the longest time I could accept antisemitism in the extreme left because:
1. The non-extreme left and the liberals were protective of Jews in attitude and legislature.
2. The mainstream right was largely antisemitic.
Today the script is flipped. The left is seeped in antisemitism which has saturated many liberal spaces, especially that of the youth; and the right, while just as Jew hating as they've ever been, have been at least performing anti-hate legislature.
The call from the left to Jews is "Don't align yourself with the right, they don't really care about you!". The desperate plea from myself and many others Jews is "Then protect us and make space for us!". It's met with silence and inaction.
The right has always seen us as pawn and we knew that.
The left's rhetoric used to be that all were valued, but like actual pawns, they've sacrificed us in their chess game.
No matter what our views, we're politically homeless.
