Lava tube caves are cool, and are varied in size, shape, and formations, just like limestone caves. Here is a photo in a lava tube cave with my little bat buddy for scale to show some of the variety of textures and colors that can be found. If ya'all like this, I can post some lava tube cave geology / formation type stuff! Dali80 meters inside of a volcano of Lemptegy. It was exploited for a pouzzolane but in agreement with the volcanologists that they would conserve certain parts of it. As a result, you can really take a walk inside of it and see how the world evolved. Red is not dead !

Après avoir grimpé la montagne qui jouxte l'Hitarvatn, j'ai trouvé une piste qui relie ce lac à un autre. La route était 50% confortable (terre fine et sèche)/50% chaotique (roches, trous). À mi-chemin, fin du trajet : la piste est encore sous une épaisse couche de neige. Pour avoir roulé sur certains paquets, c'est comme de la boue : tu "pati-niques" et tu te dis que ce sera plus safe en mai.

Seul au monde. Et les paysages sont toujours aussi BEAUX. :hakase:
