I AM BEGGING YOU TO PLEASE HELP ME !

This #disabled man living in #poverty has an #instacart of #food and groceries via #kroger but lack the $350, then I have a cart on #walmart with various household supplies, another $250 I dont have, another cart at #costco for $500 with various bulk supplies of food and needed supplies, I desperately need a new bed, lets just say pillows, mattress, bedding ect, $1800, I really need a few clothing items lets just say around $200, then there is my rent and ect ect, Life costs money, and when your disabled and live in poverty those costs keep going up because you never ever can come close to fulfilling your basic needs, then I have an old washer and dryer that keep acting up, air conditioner that hates summer, now those are at the bottom because I keep bootstrapping them, but thats not going to last much longer, my ceiling fan is stuck on low, and I shutter every time the power goes out because im not sure I will be able to spin start it again, anyways, on top of my failing health and aging body, the basics of life become an unclaimable mountain which often keeps me drowning in the well of despair, your help would be most graciously received, $5-10-15 It All Helps This #disabled Man Living In #poverty, via #cashapp at $woctxphotog or via #paypal at paypal.com/donate?campaign_id=…

It is really a sad state of affairs when a #disabled man living in #poverty without any resources or people to actually count on, reaches out repeatedly for #help, only to be ignored, being disabled and living in poverty often means your #health is poor, your diet is poor, your access to the basics in #life are often beyond reach, and longer you go with out the simple things like #food to eat, personal #hygiene products, basic house hold supplies, increasing your spiral into disparity, and it's not that you want to be constantly begging for help, it's a matter of life, but far to many dismiss the cries for help and either assume someone else will help or there are other ways, but often if someone is putting it out there that they need help, it is because they actually need help, and because of the lack of support, their entire situation deteriorates faster than any possible support that could come in, leaving a sinkhole of needs and despair, it really truly is awful just how little #compassion people have for one another, especially since no one knows just when they may find their own life upon a sinking ship and needing a serious lifeline.

Nothing like experiencing progressively worsening stiffness and pain all over the body, along with increased weakness exhaustion and spells of extreme tiredness, a constant lower body temperature than normal as mine has been running between 95-96.8 deg, and blood pressure that has been all over the place mean time my pulse rate remains fairly normal around 60-68 resting and around 98 if I have been slightly active and in more pain, my weight has been holding between 250-260, I have noticed marked difference in weakened muscle strength, of course it does not help that being disabled and living in poverty, that both my “normal” physical activity is all ready reduces from that of a non-disabled person, but I also have years of very poor dietary nutrition as a result of lacking the money to have food on a day to day basis, and not being able to afford healthy food at all, getting older really does not help matters, as we age we decline in over all health as it is, now add poverty and disability and every year I age is more like 5-10 years for a “normal healthy” person.

I do not know if I set myself up for failure, or the woman really is not a good thinker.

The message I sent my Instacart shopping before they shopped:

" Hello Jessica, substitutions are more than welcome. We're not a picky bunch (easy to shop for). Rather have something rather than nothing. Your tip is fixed at 10 buck. Thanks for taking our order. "
We sent that message, because we noticed a growing number of shoppers that will simply claim "out of stock" and move on. We wanted to reassure our shopping that we really did want substitutions.

It was a small order. 2 gallons of milk, 1 bag of cookies, 2 sandwich wraps, 1 small plate of Sushi, and lastly 4 extra large cans of Pringles (7.1 oz each).

I suspected the extra large cans would be sold out, since they're on sale for 2.50 each (10 bucks total, 28.4 oz). The normal size Pringles are 5.5 oz. I figured if they were going to make a substitution, they would go with that (5.5 x 4 = 22oz).

Instead, my shopper did something unexpected. Without asking to confirm, they picked 1 single package of those children size Pringles (12 minis) which only offers 8 oz for 8 bucks, and then checked out.

I still gave her the tip, and the 5-star rating, as she apologized. She explained she was a single mom, and assumed the Pringles were for a child's snacks, and not a graduation party. She even offered to pay for a replacement, which I told her was not necessary.

But I cannot help wonder, was this her, or was our enthusiastic message of encouragement our own downfall.
