A few weeks ago, the Australian government quietly updated its COVID-19 vaccination guidelines. Most of us are only eligible for boosters every 12 months now, instead of every 6 months.

I'm immunocompromised but I'm not "severely immunocompromised" according to the government's strict definition. I have to mask and socially distance as covid could trigger a lifelong disability for me. I depend on those vaccines to keep me safe.

I feel like we're being hung out to dry again.

Fascinating the ipsilateral vs contralateral #vaccination route though perhaps striking thing to me is the lack of a more pronounced signal. I. E. Yes there is a bit to gain from ipsilateral boosting but not a lot.

However I wonder if this could be a crucial variable in achieving effective / longer lasting #immunisation in those hard to vaccinate - e.g. Immunosuppressed
