Just called my congressman (R-NC) to let him know that I do not like the Big Bill. It was easy. Got connected right away to a staffer. Listed my reasons in a calm rational manner. Connected it to interfering with my state's success.

Then call the White House switchboard number and say the name of your rep. Instant contact!

For the first time since being invited by the three U.S. Missions (EU, NATO and Belgium) to their annual 4 July celebration, I have declined the invitation.

I hope many others will give a similar political message.

This was the #nokings #protest in Honolulu, just after noon local time. I was on the side of the street where the state capitol is, looking towards the far side of the street. It seemed somewhat bigger than the #handsoff protest in April.
