OP: Hello everyone, I already read the Wiki, but I could not find anything that could help me with "random". Can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me how you achieve, random?

Linux Support Forum (LSF): Read the Wiki !!!!

OP: I am sorry, I think you may have skimmed my post. As I said, I already read the Wiki, and could not find anything.

LSF: You obviously did not read the Wiki. Here is the URL.

OP: But that is 404 page.

LSF: Shhh. The Wiki has spoken!

OP: Hi everyone, how do you "random?" I tried doing it "this way" and "that way" and here are my logs. I seem to be stuck.

Linux Support Forum (LSF): No, not like that.

OP: But I really want to do random. Can it not be done?

LSF: Oh, it can be done, but no one here will help you do it.

OP: Why?

LSF: Because we do not approve.

OP: Why?

LSF: It is not the Linux way!

I have been playing with or outright using Linux since the early days - Before Linux ever had an installer, and you needed to compile everything yourself.

Linux has come a long way, but the communities behind Linux mostly have not.

Sure, you have the occasional exception today, with a few good helpful groups, but those are the minority. But the fact that they even exist, is an improvement. The problem is the vast majority has not changed in all these years.

AI is going to replace Support Forums, because Support Forums, want to die. They prove that fact with every gate keeping post, with every debate or argument they start as opposed to answering people with what they are looking for, and with every shunning action they take when someone does try to offer real help.

You said it yourself, that post was very much edited.

The big thing I dislike about Linux Support Forums is how they tend to gate keep and even shame people. Then when someone finally has had enough, and they call people out, those same people will go back, edit their post, and make it seem like you're the bad guy with their now, newly sensible and newly reasonable comments.

You'll notice (in my post history), I'm still having a few minor issues, but am I being helped? No. Anyone, right now, could shut me up, and shut me down, but folks rather go on with the nonsense, which only further validates my claim that AI can be more helpful.

And as you said, even after they edited their post, they still could not help themselves.
