I know DX Engineering is also in Ohio, but damn they ship fast!
(at least for things bought at Hamvention!)
I ordered some parts over the weekend at Hamvention on Saturday.
The four parts all arrived TODAY by 12 PM!
freaky fast!

#DXEngineering needs to do better. This is not how you do passwords correctly. #HamRadio
So. A few years ago, I ordered three 6BTV Hustler antennas from #dxengineering. Eventually, months later, they were finally shipped, via #fedex.
It seems that I was not alone with atrocious #fedex experience. Troy Hunt (yes, that Troy Hunt) had an almost identical experience with #fedex and import duties:

Yes, at the time I did write to #dxengineering with my experience. I haven't ordered from them since.
I had a #dremmittbrown moment this morning. "It works" with my #randomlengthwireantenna made of 26 AWG ultralight Stealth wire from #dxengineering. Right out of the gate 1st #pota #parksontheair #QSO with Rob #wc1n 28.5' radiator with 28.5' counterpoise Tuned 1.1:1 with #z817 #autotuner on 40,30,20,17,15,12 and 10 meters. It's a keeper. #amateurradio #hamradio #cwoperator #morsecode
