Happy weekend! Have some playing minidoggos
"So, if I am cute enough, may I get some of the leafy stuff???"
I don't think Indy is overly enthusiastic about "healthy" foods, but a snack is a snack.
We enjoyed another sunset at a beach park. Luckily, with the light fading fast, someone turned on their headlights from the parking lot and I noticed Indy all lit up. When the environment gives you the features of a diffused flash unit way out of frame, use the moment!
"Escapism" has been the name of the game in our house these last handful of days. Indy is thrilled with "be outside" and "away from screens" being top priorities.
Just doing what we can to maintain sanity.
I find the news firehose to be overwhelming on weeks like this one. It is important to pay attention, as our democracy is threatened by apathy and disengagement, but it is important to take care of your body and mental state as much as you can.
Indy attended sunset #yoga and was an active participant. He greeted each person and brought plenty of smiles. Remember to find moments of peace & joy.
The news is grim today. I offer up an Indy moment of zen as an alternative to doom-scrolling.
Sometimes, you just need a break to contemplate the vastness of the universe. Indy may have been taking in the sights and thinking about his existence, or he may have just been wondering when we were going to stop for dinner.
In case there was any question, Indy absolutely loves life.
Today is King Kamehameha Day in Hawaii.
This is the only state holiday that celebrates a former monarch. King Kamehameha I is also known as Kamehameha The Great, as his reign saw the creation of the Kingdom of Hawaii (which encompassed all of the major Hawaiian Islands under one ruler for the first time).
Here is "His Highness" with a statue of His Highness.
