Hrefna (DHC)Really I think I'd find <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Daggerheart" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Daggerheart</a> revolutionary if I were trying it 20—or even 10—years ago. But today it feels weirdly rules heavy and crunchy in ways that I don't like. It places rules where it doesn't feel like there needs to be rules (e.g., a lot of the mechanics around rest actions, which feels like it is borrowing from the kinds of standardization in 4e) and doesn't have them where it feels it needs them (e.g., to create a turn order for fairness, instead it seems to effectively punish players who tend to let others go first ).<a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Cypher" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Cypher</a> is my favorite system. <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/PbtA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#PbtA</a> is extremely useful. <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Pathfinder" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Pathfinder</a> has its place. <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/DnD5e" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DnD5e</a> is basically usable and widely understood.But I don't really… have a use for Daggerheart in its current form? There's clearly a lot of passion in it, but I just can't find a place for it versus other systems.
