@Rp12Biker :verified:<p>Today we had long traveled guests in the museum coming from Ireland. Mainly for a wedding, but the looked up which interesting places are around for spare time. The ~12 year old son played a round of Zork1 :)<br>And they where so thankful for our explanations and our time. That are the good moments why we're all doing that unsalaried. <br><a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/ComputerMuseum" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ComputerMuseum</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a></p>
@Rp12Biker :verified:<p>Now the rare Motorola <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/MC6809" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MC6809</span></a> in the <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Thomson" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Thomson</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/TO7" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TO7</span></a>-70 has found a worthy place next to its successor in Atari. The light pen works on a tube TV without any problems. However, the accuracy is like 'oh, I hit the left top of the screen' :) At the time, however, it was quite a unique selling point of this computer.<br><a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Retrocomputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Retrocomputing</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Motorola" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Motorola</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/ComputerMuseum" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ComputerMuseum</span></a></p>
@Rp12Biker :verified:<p>It was a quick evening to get the floppy drive of the <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Thomson" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Thomson</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/TO7" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TO7</span></a>-70 working. When I opened the case, I immediately noticed that the floppy cable had come loose from the drive and was hanging around. I plugged it in and did a quick test; no more "NO DISK" errors. :) I also took the opportunity to do some cleaning, add a missing foot, format a C64 floppy disk with DSKINI0, and save a BASIC test program. Everything's working great, and it's ready for the exhibition. But first, I'll take a look at the cartridge with the 6809 assembler.<br><a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/France" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>France</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/ComputerMuseum" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ComputerMuseum</span></a></p>
Bina Femaroll<p>More gems from my visit last Tuesday. Btw. most of the machines are ready to run or run (like that <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/apple2" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>apple2</span></a>). <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/retrocomputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>retrocomputing</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/datarena" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>datarena</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/computermuseum" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>computermuseum</span></a></p>
@Rp12Biker :verified:<p>A short idea of mine. Based on the serial number of our <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/KneisnerM100" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>KneisnerM100</span></a>, I'd guess it was manufactured in October 1978. It starts with 7810 and a following 01 at the end. I don't think they manufactured and sold 1001 of them in 1978. Would you agree?<br><a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/ComputerMuseum" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ComputerMuseum</span></a></p>
@Rp12Biker :verified:<p>Let's add a little color to this dreary sky. Amiga 500 in the limited <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/StefanieT%C3%BCcking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>StefanieTücking</span></a> (R.I.P.) tiger design. The other case had the typical Boeing balls from the graphics demo as pattern.<br>I'm currently looking through my pictures and noticed that it works just as well with <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/DarkTable" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DarkTable</span></a> in Linux as it does with <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/LightRoom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LightRoom</span></a> in Windows.<br><a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/ComputerMuseum" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ComputerMuseum</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Visselh%C3%B6vede" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Visselhövede</span></a></p>

@Rp12Biker :verified:<p>The <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/KneisnerM100" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>KneisnerM100</span></a> has finally arrived in its natural habitat. Even though it takes up quite a bit of space, it's found a nice spot next to its successful Z80 successors from England. It also survived transport in the car well and is now booting its <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/TurboDOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TurboDOS</span></a> smoothly.<br><a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/ComputerMuseum" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ComputerMuseum</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/EOT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EOT</span></a></p>
@Rp12Biker :verified:<p>This morning, I'd like to treat your eyes to a particularly rare specimen of the computer history. A <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Yodobashi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Yodobashi</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Formula1" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Formula1</span></a>, distributed in Germany by the company Schoppe&amp;Faeser located in Minden. It was used as a "mobile" programming station for the company's early control systems. And btw, it's fully functional right now.<br><a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/ComputerMuseum" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ComputerMuseum</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Z80" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Z80</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Zilog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Zilog</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Eprommer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Eprommer</span></a></p>
@Rp12Biker :verified:<p>Both cases of the <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/KneisnerM100" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>KneisnerM100</span></a> are fully closed and <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/TurboDOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TurboDOS</span></a> system is running fine from HDD. Also I adjusted the monitor view sizes inside the the <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/TeleVideo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TeleVideo</span></a> VTI-912C terminal.</p><p>Finish and mission accomplished<br><a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/ComputerMuseum" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ComputerMuseum</span></a></p>
@Rp12Biker :verified:<p>One of the most repair-friendly computers of the 80s. Our <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Sharp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Sharp</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/MZ80K" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MZ80K</span></a> in the museum. But ultimately, it was also one of the dumbest computers ever launched.<br><a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/ComputerMuseum" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ComputerMuseum</span></a></p>
@Rp12Biker :verified:<p>Und hier ist das Original des Artikels der Reparaturgeschichte des <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/KneiserM100" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>KneiserM100</span></a> in Deutsch zu finden:<br><a href="https://computermuseum-visselhoevede.de/der-kneisner-m100-oder-das-once-lifetime-project" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">computermuseum-visselhoevede.d</span><span class="invisible">e/der-kneisner-m100-oder-das-once-lifetime-project</span></a><br><a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/ComputerMuseum" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ComputerMuseum</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Tinkering" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Tinkering</span></a></p>

What a beauty the #KneisnerM100 has become. My daily work would be called "case modding" nowadays ;) It literally appears in a completely different light now ;) Tomorrow I'll be working on the expansion box, so after a year and a half, I can tick off this exciting project.
If any of you are coming to the HNF in Paderborn in October: The current plan is to bring it to the RCT at 11th & 12th of October 2025.

Fahrt von Bielefeld (Mitte) zum Computermuseum Bielefeld (Senne)

ACME Labs e.V., Sonntag, 18.
