Up late questioning my logic. Ordered a Dickie Goodman compact disc compilation because it had lots of cuts not on my old Rhino "Greatest Hits" vinyl album by the artist I bought in the 1980's. However, I ordered a vinyl reissue of a 1981 Chas and Dave LP, and just digitized it while listening for the first time. #PhysicalMedia #vinyl #compactdisc #digitization

Listening to "Dickie Goodman: Long Live The King" on CD. It arrived in the mail today, along with a couple other audio items I ordered last week from Deep Discount. Granted, I bought Rhino's "Dickie Goodman's Greatest Hits" back in the 80's, could have just digitized the LP, but the CD has a LOT of content not on the LP. Also, got it new, sealed, and cheaper (just $8.80) than a lot of people are selling used copies for online. What a thrift find today!!!
This is one of the greatest one-off side project albums ever.
I’m a massive fan of all things Failure and Ken Andrews. I remember right before this came out how excited I was to hear it.
Andrew’s had another project after Failure before this called On, which didn’t do very well commercially.
YOTR was a little more hard rock like Failure was, but had some melodic touches to it that were a different.
This is hands down one of my favorite musical finds of the last few years. I cannot tell you how much I love this album. EQUALLY as much as any of the Failure albums, if not more.
I also discovered today that there’s a #vinyl reissue of this from 2023, which I am now obsessed with acquiring.

Holy shit!
I just found a whole whack of #cds under my stairs that were long missing! I thought these were long gone!
Some of these have never been on #vinyl , and the ones that have have never come across my path.
That Talk Show album is very underrated. And yes, it’s hard to think about how killer those songs would have sounded if Scott was singing them, but once you appreciate them for what they are, you realize they’re damn good songs.
I love both of those Eugenius albums to death, and I’ll probably break down and get them on Discogs eventually.
The greatest thing about finding these though is the 2xCD Pipeline! compilation; a collection of live radio performances on WMBR in my hometown of #boston .
Buffalo Tom, Lou Barlow, Gigolo Aunts, Scarce, Helium, Come…. to name a few.
Super siked to have found these.

@crk5 I am probably one of the few people on earth with a complete collection of 11 Greg Kihn/Greg Kihn Band CDs. These were released in Germany in the late ‘80s. They are flat transfers from the master tapes, so they sound amazing!
