#Zoomposium with #KonradKording: "How do #machines #think
?"
In our latest Zoomposium episode on #AI research we interviewed the renowned German physicist and neuroscientist Prof. Dr. Konrad Körding.
Known for the influential article "Could a Neuroscientist Understand a Microprocessor?" (2017) with Eric Jonas, Konrad explored Atari games like Donkey Kong on a MOS 6502 processor to analyze its "logic gate network" with neuroscientific methods.
The surprising conclusion: even simple artificial systems can surprise us, and understanding the brain—or deep learning—remains profoundly challenging.
We discussed the possible "cognitive processes in machines" and how AI might think in ways similar or different to human brains.
