Banning Plastic Bags Really Works: Shoreline Litter is Slashed by Almost Half Where Policies in Place
Another corner of overgrown goat pen chopped down and a lot of mulch to turn the mud pit into some soil.
With the new mownster I can mow the entire cleared area in an hour, rather than 3 days with the push mower, so I'm happy.
Also picked up the chopped hay from mowing a path to the barn and threw it onto a bunch of mud in the back of the yard. Very useful stuff. It quickly decays in place and meanwhile no mud.
Cleared more under the oaks where I want to put a foundation for the future sawmill.
Neighbour came by to grab a piece of plastic pipe, because their water supply kind of burst on them.
Don´t complain, make him happy
The good wife
What do you think about caged white husbands?
This is my one...
She loves it
Normal modern marriage
Oh god this is so damn good
The inherited garden furniture is somewhat lacking.
Luckily I haven't got time to lay around anyways.
Another corner cleaned up. This was a mess of old discarded branches with new plants growing through them, plus a few bits of steel to keep it interesting.
Stuffed the branches into #HerrSchröder, picked out the steel and then mulched the rest with the lawn mower.
First time the side of the garbarn and power pylon are accessible.
Still more to do, as you can see from the pile of junk
One corner at a time!
Ready for that cow
Sunny and warm, which means perfect weather for pressure washing a bunch of grimy stuff from the garbarn*

* garage that is actually just a barn, full of garbage
I've organized and consolidated my Homelab down to just 6 repos
* Cloud, with a directory for each cloud provider
* Terminal config, for syncing dotfiles
* blog, for the blog content
* hardware, for notes on switches and config backups (arguable should automate those)
* network-services, now mostly dnsmasq/ipxe configs
* kubernetes, a sprawling IaC repo that also covers the nodes themselves
Feels nice actually. Refreshing even, especially with how snappy Forgejo feels
As I rip things out I toss what I had in a big archive/dump repo that I keep off to the side in a different namespace
Achive is kinda a toxic waste dump since I don't trust past me to not have committed credentials by mistake... at least there are decent odds they'd be creds to a depreciated or rebuilt service at least #HomeLab #Cleanup
Isn´t that so beautiful?
Locked hubbies are the best :)
wow I need to be there
