cthululemon
This little mechanical calculator is one of my favorite objects. It came to me with what turned out to be a fouled 10s pin retaining ring; it was a bear to take apart, ‘machine’ a new part, and reassemble. But it works! Boris Kretzinger
Went to the Hessenpark today, which is basically an open air museum with several old half-timbered houses. In one of them, I stumbled upon an exhibition about the history of the transistor. And there were some calculators on display as well, two made by Commodore. The one of the right is one I did not see in real life so far - nice surprise 😎
#commodore #retrocomputing #calculators

The HP 35s is a bit of a look-after machine because it was quite popular when HP still sold it. Unfortunately, they stopped that not very long ago (I think last year?) and people started to grab the last available items while supplies lasted. I bought one several years ago and still love it! I’m a bit of a #calculators collector (mostly HP but some TIs, Casios, Sharps as well) so I always appreciate these lovely little machines! 😊 Got an HP200LX, too.
