Yesterday I took a long #gravelride through time. 140km (go and return) across the country side from home to the museum of prehistory in Le Grand Pressigny since I am a great lover of very old stuff 😀.

Many country lanes, very muddy trails, a blue sky with beautiful white clouds and the perfect temperature for such a ride.

Finaly it took me longer than I thought with an incredible average pace of 13,5kph!! I had to walk my bike across very wet pass several times and I stoped to take a lot of photos.

I was the entire day in the good company of singing birds and roe deer in the fields.
So many good vibes!!!

Around 40km of gravelride this morning.
I first didn't know where to go but I finely headed west following the Loire river up to a place called " the end of the world" where the Loire meets another river named Le Cher. 90% off road and grassy.
Then back along Le Cher and again off road throught the yellow fields.
A very nice ride with the symphony of the birds in my ears and the wind blowing good vibes.

Quote by F24:
"Apr 5, 2025
A group of Serbian students has embarked on a bike journey towards Strasbourg, France, to start a protest. Their goal is to seek EU support in their quest for justice following the tragic collapse of a train station in Serbia last November, which resulted in the deaths of 16 people. The incident has been widely attributed to government corruption, sparking widespread protests across the country. Laurent Rouy reports."

Ride 4A Reason 2025Tara Choe HORTON - Ride 4A Reason 2025On April 26, I will be participating in Ride for a Reason 2025, a bike ride from Oakland to Sacramento, to raise funds for public education in Oakland and Alameda. My fundraising goal is $250, and I am asking for your help to reach it! Ride for a Reason is more than a bike ride—it’s a local movement to support eleven public schools in Oakland and Alameda, working toward a collective fundraising goal of $200,000. As the parent of an Oakland Unified School District graduate (Peralta Elementary, Claremont Middle, Oakland Technical High School), I have witnessed the fruits of a good public education, and I care deeply about keeping California public schools strong and accessible for all students. This year, Oakland Unified faces a serious funding crisis, and I am highly motivated to support my community’s school district and help ensure that every student has access to a high-quality, public K-12 education. This cause impacts all of us, as today’s students are the future of California. Please consider making a gift of any amount to support my bike ride and this important cause. Your contribution will provide essential resources for these public schools, making a positive impact on the lives of many students. Whether you give $10 or $100, your generosity will make a difference. Together, let’s keep California’s public education system excellent and free for all students. Thank you!
Happy Friday! First bike ride in shorts this year, it felt like summer with 71F / 22C.

Little detours, planned (exploring new routes) and unplanned (trains blocking a railroad crossing for too long!), were inspiring. I love exploring Chicago and learn new routes. And cycling is just good for (my) mental health, being outside with others who are enjoying the weather and city.

What's your favorite place to cycle (to)?

I enjoyed a brilliant spin around Mexico City on a municipal rental bike. The deal? Just 123 MXN (around €5.70) for a full day, with rides up to 45 minutes included in the price. Pushed my luck slightly and rode for 45 minutes and 15 seconds, landing a minor overage fee of 22.41 MXN (about €1). Absolutely worth it for the freedom to explore the city.
