Drew Naylor<p>PSA: If you find that Visual Studio Code version 1.100.3-1 or similar hangs after a few seconds after launch on Electron 34 and you have the GitLens extension installed, disable it with "code --disable-extension eamodio.gitlens" and it should work again. I was using it because it added more git repo UI to VS Code, but I guess it doesn't work anymore. For reference, I'm using the Arch Linux "code" package from the "extra" repo.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/VSCode" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>VSCode</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/VisualStudioCode" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>VisualStudioCode</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ArchLinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ArchLinux</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Arch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Arch</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a></p>

Andrzej Wąsowski ☑️ 🟥<p>I am using one tool implemented in Haskell. Cost: my <a href="https://social.itu.dk/tags/ArchLinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ArchLinux</span></a> updates about 100 <a href="https://social.itu.dk/tags/Haskell" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Haskell</span></a> packages every 2 days on average. Seriously? I am starting to think that even though I am a <a href="https://social.itu.dk/tags/functional" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>functional</span></a> programmer, programming in Haskell would not be for me - and not for the ferocious purity and laziness, but for the stability of the environment!</p><p>Disclaimer: I know nothing about the Haskell ecosystem. It may well be that these updates are just as innocuous as they are irritating.</p>
