I am looking for a free provider of #x509 #certificates for use with #CAI #ContentAuthenticityInitiative #C2PA #ContentCredentials. #Adobe and #PixelStream seem to offer this #service, but not for #free. Basicalky something like #LetsEncrypt, only for #images.
Fixable? The good thing: I got a second #PCB that doesn't look busted, so I could read the markings and find the components. Worth a try, right? Otherwise, the whole label printer is garbage as I can't get a replacement mainboard.
This mainboard is from a #zebra #tlp2824plus label printer.
I got 2 for 20€ shipped and untested without PSUs. One looks fine, the other like this.

I asked Child B if they thought zebras were white with black stripes, or the other way around.
After careful consideration, they decided that the front half of a #zebra is white with black stripes, and the back half is black with white stripes. And if you look very carefully you can see where the halves meet.
Glad that's cleared up.

These labelprinters are also built to last. The older one is from 2007, the second one from 2011 or so. And they function like they're new. As the PSUs had a recall back in 2013 or so, #Zebra, the manufacturer, even sent me new PSUs free of charge. 12 years after the recall for an 18 year old device without official support. If Zebra also supports their new products like this, they're too good for this world.
