Mario Alberto Guzmán<p>It looks like the Now Playing floating view got a bit more opaque in Beta 2. (cc <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.design/@keir" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>keir</span></a></span>) -- but damn, they're really pushing this. Still not great in terms of legibility.</p><p>The most important info bits and controls are getting deemphasized so much with this design. Also now with text up in the toolbar, that is also nearly impossible to see/read.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/AppleMusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AppleMusic</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/macOSTahoe" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>macOSTahoe</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/WWDC25" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>WWDC25</span></a></p>
Sam Clemente<p>Most glassmorphic (a portmanteau of ‘glass’ and ‘skeuomorphic’) designs have a more frosted look than what Apple went with in the Liquid Glass design system</p><p>That lends itself to better readability, but I think Apple doesn’t want to go that route, a lot of the refraction and chromatic aberration they’ve designed wouldn’t be as prevalent if it were frosted in line with most glassmorphic design systems</p><p>Interested to see how the betas play out</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Apple" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Apple</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Technology" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Technology</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/WWDC25" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>WWDC25</span></a></p>
