An Italian museum reported a couple to the police for damaging a precious 'Van Gogh chair'.

A glittering crystal-covered artwork in Verona was left badly damaged after a couple ignored warnings.

Security footage from the Palazzo Maffei museum shows a man and woman taking turns posing in front of the “Van Gogh” chair, a fragile sculpture created by Italian artist Nicola Bolla and covered in hundreds of Swarovski crystals.

Okay, I've decided on a time for my first vacation to #Italy in 30 years - August 23 to September 1st. And I think #Verona and surrounding areas might be a good place to start, since it should be possible to get there via train within a single day from Oldenburg.

I still need to figure out the details, though. Where exactly will I stay, and what places should I visit (using local public transportation)? Is anyone here from the area and could give me some advice?
