It’s hard to capture the scale of this event because there were so many people, the park wasn’t flat, and so many people were spread out under shade. The demonstrations are massive, enormous crowds.
And this is the 250 year army celebration. I wonder how many people will attend the parade (besides all the billionaires who paid a few million dollars to sit front row).

Tiny little Falls Church Virginia had a nice energetic and joyful protest with between 6-900 people at the peak (there were 156 in my lightly populated area and we covered blocks, most areas with far denser groups).

It doesn't matter whether or not a tiny majority of Americans agrees or disagrees with Donald Trump's deployment of marines in LA. It is against the law for marines to engage in law enforcement in the US. The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 expressly forbids it. Their detention of an army veteran on the way to a VA centre was a crime. #trump #uspol
