I wanted each topical toot to be structurally at the same level. Conceptually this feels right for a wish list with replies, especially if other people add wish list items.

It also means that the #thread structure will look right on Facebook-like platforms like #Friendica and #Hubzilla.

I wonder what the rated breaking strength of thread is. 🤔

(found a makeshift "garage sale thread tester" aka 5 lb hand weight... all the new thread you can put under it and pull up one side and it won't break... the old thread breaks if you try the same thing, except some of it... Two strands so that's less than 2.5 lbs per strand where it breaks)

I know they've highlighted this in the article, and of course people have to be very careful which Linux they choose( fedora & opensuse ;)) and what they install. It is a known fact that there are a multiplicity of dangerous npm or PyPI packages out there. Also lately, there has been an Arch repo issue that mental outlaw & bleepingcomputers etc. highlighted.

There are job descriptions with titles like "support engineer" or "helpdesk engineer" that, despite the use of "engineer," do not always involve traditional engineering tasks such as design, development, or system architecture. These roles focus on technical support, troubleshooting, and user assistance rather than core engineering.

Using these titles without proper licensure is generally prohibited to ensure public safety. #engineer #term #status #thread

Ive watched tons of amazing videos this year so far, so from now on im keeping track of them here in this #thread and going back to ones ive not talked about before.

My favourite one of the year so far is a #Videoessay by #saneretry about learning! and its importance on a personal level. Some cool anecdotes kept my interest all the way through! m.youtube.com/watch?v=PSmgNgsW
