Happy "The 1st Pride was a Riot" Day to those who celebrate! And *especially* to those that don't!

Folks who haven't yet realised and/or accepted that they're trans, but are in the maybe and/or questioning stage, are effectively in a state of trans quantum superposition

They are in multiple states at the same time until they measure / observe themselves.

If this sounds like you, we would like to recommend that you allow yourself (or yourselves) to run the experiment and observe the results to collapse the wavefunction.

And if you don't get conclusive results, repeat the experiment until you do.

Whatever results you obtain, you'll find many other researchers here if you want some peer review before publishing your findings, but this is very-much a topic where self-reviewing and self-publishing is very much recommended.

And you will find a lot of post-publishing support, as well as help, guidance, and sign-posting for further studies

A reminder for anyone questioning their gender, especially with questions like: "Am I trans?" or "Am I non-binary?":

Focus on what you would like to do, then work out the label(s) later

You don't need to have it all figured out up front, and it's okay for your concept of self and goals to evolve over time.

Terms like trans, non-binary, agender etc. are all descriptive: NOT prescriptive.

It’s ok to be scared about the idea of being nonbinary if you’re questioning.

Growth and change are often scary, especially when dealing with labels considered “controversial” by many. There’s nothing inherently wrong with being afraid.

Just remember that there are many of us who have been where you are now, and many can help you find your courage.

You are not alone.

Don't worry about how long it took for you to learn that you're nonbinary.

There are countless reasons beyond your control that can slow your progress, making you question your gender for years (if you wonder at all).

The important thing is that you overcame those obstacles to get here.

You can remain undefined.

Questioning your gender, orientation, etc. doesn't have to lead to precise labels.

All the questioning journey is "supposed" to do is bring you a better understanding of yourself.

If you want to call yourself nonbinary, you can.

It's alright if you're not sure how or what the specifics may be. Claim it, if the term feels right.

You should not be expected to know every possible nonbinary label you can choose from (or that you can make them yourself).

It’s ok to feel lost among them all and not know where to start when you’re questioning.

This is a new area of knowledge for you, and, like every new subject, there’s a lot to take in.

We all have to start somewhere. Take your time.

If you have recently figured out that you're nonbinary, then you'll be okay.

It's not the end of the world. You can adapt your existing life to fit you. Or, you can build a new one from scratch.

This is simply a new beginning.

It's alright to simply not know who, or what, you are. You may wonder after years spent questioning.

But much can be found in that limitless place. You'll learn about how others understand themselves as well as how to understand yourself.

It's time well spent.
