I’m considering getting into painting 3d printed statues. Seems like a good idea to relax and do something without a monitor.

Information I found so far are all over the place.

$30 airbrush and a small compressor vs $300, paint the statue disassembled vs assembled,…

It’ll take some time to distill the information and figure out how to approach it. #3dprinting #painting

I pivoted towards canvas panels bc yeah: I noticed people bought artwork on the panels as often as they buy my works on paper.

Stretched canvas take up A LOT of space, both in my room and at markets. A lot of these markets, you only get 6 foot tables. It's the same with wood panels of 1/2" or more.
But having a sturdy canvas to paint on is great...

I like are these new aluminum panels that you can paint on. I only have a few bc I'm figuring them out.

Yeah I wasn't thinking properly like 2-3 years ago.

I really like stretched canvas. But canvas pads and canvas panels fit easier into my artisan market setup.
I feel like people may be less intimidated by canvas panels when looking to buy my work? Framed work has NOT sold well at markets. Gallery spaces? We'll see I guess.

I have a fair amount of 1/2" and 5/8" depth canvas. But I also have 1.5" and 2" depth, the kind you start seeing more with gallery and museum paintings.

Good afternoon.

Happened to be in the garage. Found some canvas. 😵😵‍💫

Between the basement and the garage, I have enough canvas to last me over a year.
(I cannot eat canvas though.)

I decided to stop hoarding canvas at least 2 years ago. But now I am stuck with... a buttload of canvas.
(I can paint on it obviously, but I need more linseed oil. 😩)
Also I'm a bit burnt out mentally and emotionally.

Canvas panels/pads are much more space efficient.
