#BillMoyers Dead: Elder Statesman of #PBS #Journalists Was 91

Bill #Moyers , who carried an unblemished air of moral conviction throughout a 43-year career as an unapologetically liberal #journalist, mostly for PBS, died Thursday in Manhattan. He was 91.

Like his protege #CharlieRose, Moyers was characterized by an insatiable and wide-ranging intellectual curiosity, but he was deeply concerned not only with how things are but how they should be.

Houston Public Media · Senators question Trump plan to kill federal funds for PBS, NPR and some foreign aidVon Scott Neuman
#National#News#Politics

I’m seriously alarmed by Trump’s push to cut funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which puts NPR and PBS in real danger. Public broadcasting isn’t just nice to have; it’s a necessity for reliable news, education, and emergency information. Losing this vital resource would be a huge blow to our communities and democracy.

What to know about the 3 Iranian nuclear sites that were hit by U.S. strikes

President Donald Trump said the strikes, which he described as “very successful,” had hit the Natanz, Fordo and Isfahan sites, with Fordo being the primary target. The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran confirmed there were attacks early Sunday at all three nuclear sites.Israel launched a surprise barrage of attacks on sites in Iran on June 13, which Israeli officials said was necessary to head off what they claimed was an imminent threat that Iran would build nuclear bombs.Iran, which has long insisted its nuclear program is peaceful, has retaliated with a series of missile and drone strikes in Israel, while Israel has continued to strike sites in Iran. The U.S. and Iran had been in talks that could have resulted in the U.S. lifting some of its crushing economic sanctions on Iran in exchange for Tehran drastically limiting or ending its enrichment of uranium. Until Saturday, Washington had helped shoot down Iranian strikes on Israel but had not launched direct attacks on Iran.
Intentional attacks on nuclear sites are atrocities committed against both humanity and the environment, atrocities against not only the present, but the far future.

Local contamination has already been detected at the Natanz site.

click.actionnetwork.orgTell Congress: Protect Public MediaPresident Trump and his friends in Congress are escalating their war on public media – attempting to slash funding for our Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and National Public Radio (NPR). Americans consistently rank PBS and NPR as the most trustworthy networks for news and public affairs because they deliver free local news, quality education, and fact-based independent journalism – without any corporate or political agendas. And that’s exactly why Trump is targeting them with this executive order – he knows that an informed public with access to independent journalism is a powerful defense against the manipulation, disinformation, and propaganda that the Trump administration is pushing. I just signed a Common Cause petition urging Congress to REJECT proposals to cut funding for public media – and I hope that you will, too.

Watching a new video from PBS on TRex and Triceratops (on YouTube - I won't be able to watch the real thing when it comes out on a paid service), but their CGI *still* doesn't show them with feathers.

Isn't that a "solved" question now? Or is it still speculation? (yes, it's all speculation until we see one in person, but I thought the science was more supportive of "has" than "doesn't has")

Is that wrong?
