Why have there been so many helicopters today? And a military jet just now?? So annoying #Ottawa

It's interesting to me that all of the signs, displays, warnings, posters etc. in this building at uOttawa are written in French first and English second, as opposed to the other way around with everywhere else I've seen in Ontario. Wikipedia says the university is officially bilingual, I'm curious what the language distribution is amongst the students here #Ottawa #Ontario #BSDCan

I think Line 2 would be pretty good if it was, like, twice as fast #Ottawa
I just noticed a neighbour in our area has a python in their front lawn.
I rode the Line 2 train all the way to the end. Kinda neat it ends up in sorta the middle of nowhere. Let's see how long it takes to get back #Ottawa
The neighborhood around Tunney's Pasture seems very nice. Lots of families about.
I really like this trend in Canadian cities I've been in so far (Toronto and now Ottawa) where public transit taps come with a long, free, unlimited transfer window (90 minutes here). It makes it possible to walk around and explore just out of curiosity in a way that isn't really feasible in New York, when every exit will cost you $3.00. #Ottawa
I've got two hours to kill before the hostel desk opens, any suggestions #Ottawa ?

A Blooming Tradition: The Canadian Tulip Festival
The Canadian Tulip Festival in Ottawa began in 1953 as a thank-you from the Dutch royal family for Canada's WWII role. Over a million tulips bloom every spring in a celebration of peace and friendship.
