@davidaugust @Maxfieldripken Chileans voted against Pinochet's continued rule and won, but like all party democracies are defenceless against the unethical use of lobbyists, bribery, media bias and the control of capital by non-renewable corporate investor interests. Until there are structural changes favouring the democratic rights of diverse interests, the corporate hegemony of the ultra rich (aka fascists) is only going to get more authoritarian. How, can peaceful processes achieve its overthrow while its oligarchs are in control of the markets, the media, the police and the army?
