Bashful Monster in a Teacup
Humans aren't the only ones who enjoy a spot of tea now and again. Little monsters have been know to slip quietly into kitchens when no one is around and sneak a sip or two of freshly brewed sweetness. Alas, some of these tiny creatures may become so enamored with the tea, that they sip themselves silly and fall into a state of euphoria, causing all manner of behavior.

GORGEOUS MONSTERS & THEIR PETS
Welcome to my new interview series. I am the official human spokesperson for the Guardian Monster Guild, editor of the Monster Times & Review and author of the glamorous tell-all book, What Monsters Want. These are hard-won credentials that I have worked tirelessly to obtain. As an ordinary human being, entering the realm of Monsterdom requires a rigorous determination, and an ego that can survive all manner of taunts, threats and indignation. I have endured countless nips, pokes and licks from numerous monsters whose intent, it seems, was to provoke me into giving up. I have proved them wrong! NOTE: This latest set of interviews on monster pets is for human eyes only and includes interviews with a select group from the Gorgeous Monsters Society. (This is the name they give themselves.) #Google from hell: I searched for the name of a certain muscle. And Google presented me with the creepiest #AIslop I've ever come across: Videos with a human-shaped rubber-doll-thing that supposedly performs exercises to help with nerve pain. You know the problem with the 7 fingers? They seem to be built into the spine here. Anyone who ever imitates this (apart from the fact that people can't move like this) is then a case for therapy.

INNER MONSTERS
Inner Monsters don't necessarily look like "real" monsters. They are part of that constant chatter going on in the background of our own minds, shaping our view of the world. They can appear in a variety of forms, from human, animal, monster-like, even as plants! Most of us... ahem... keep our inner beasties tucked "safely" in the closet, hoping they won't decide to reveal themselves at inopportune times, causing all manner of embarrassing moments, like sudden extreme shyness, unexplained crying jags, overwhelming crankiness, or laughing out loud for no apparent reason, among others. Sound familiar?
The solution is (drum roll please...) to MEET your inner monsters, SEEK to understand them, EMBRACE them as yours, and then LEARN about yourself through them. Bring them out of your personal inner-verse and set them free!

to fill with water. He decides that not is a good
time to learn to swim! At first, he sinks like a stone.
Down, down, down he goes, landing on the sandy bottom.
'Burble, burble, burble?' he asks a creature floating
by. 'Burble, burble, burble.' it replies. 'Well, that is
not helpful.' Meenu thinks, and paddles back up to the surface."

GUARDIAN MONSTER: Waunakee Rippleskin.

PERSONALITY: Volatile best describes the ever-changing moods of this monster. One minute she is glowing with a sunny smile. The next minute she is grouchy, touchy, sad, exhilarated, etc…

POTENTIAL ISSUES: Her multiple personalities can be fascinating but exhausting. It’s hard to carry on a conversation when you have no idea who will be showing up to assist you. Never fear. She’s got it under control (most of the time) and can short circuit the babble of voices long enough to hear your question.

RULES OF ETIQUETTE: Approach her carefully with your gaze cast downward. Ask permission to look at her directly as she is quite sensitive to being stared at. Once she has given you her okay, go ahead and look carefully into her eyes. When they stopped shifting color and remain a warm brown, be prepared to discuss your request(s).
