BedastGPT<p>Got about a mile of reliable communication between repeaters using Meshcore.</p><p>I think I can get more range if my solar node antenna was higher up. The other repeater was in my car, where I don't have an exterior antenna yet, so probably some amount of attenuation.</p><p>Not sure the relative performance, here, unfortunately. Nachdem ich das Solarpanel umgedreht und zur Sonne hin ausgerichtet hatte, startete er von alleine wieder neu.</p><p>Bei einem Panel von 10 Watt und einem Akku von 10.000 mAh wird das wahrscheinlich auch im Winter nicht passieren, aber gut zu wissen, dass der Node (Repeater) später “in the wild” auch ohne manuelles Eingreifen wieder neu startet.</p><p>🔗 <a href="https://meshcore-de.net/meshcore-handbuch/lora_hardware/promicro-sx1262/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">meshcore-de.net/meshcore-handb</span><span class="invisible">uch/lora_hardware/promicro-sx1262/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mstdn.mv2k.com/tags/Messenger" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Messenger</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.mv2k.com/tags/Kommunikation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Kommunikation</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.mv2k.com/tags/Notfallkommunikation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Notfallkommunikation</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.mv2k.com/tags/MeshCore" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MeshCore</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.mv2k.com/tags/Mesh" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mesh</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.mv2k.com/tags/LoRa" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LoRa</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.mv2k.com/tags/DIY" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DIY</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.mv2k.com/tags/Promicro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Promicro</span></a></p>

nullagent<p>I think the best thing about the home made nodes I've been using is that it's durable enough to carry almost daily. But flexible enough that I can do tons of experiments with external antennas and temporary installations in client mode or repeater.</p><p>The big one especially has crazy battery life and can run all week.</p><p>The other thing that rocks about this build is that it can be assembled with no soldering so its about as noob friendly as DIY hardware gets.</p><p><a href="https://partyon.xyz/tags/meshcore" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>meshcore</span></a> <a href="https://partyon.xyz/tags/lora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>lora</span></a> <a href="https://partyon.xyz/tags/radio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>radio</span></a> <a href="https://partyon.xyz/tags/pnw" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>pnw</span></a></p>
