Also #ManjaroLinux läuft hier bei mir in der KDE-Version mega instabil. Ich kann den Rechner keinen Tag laufenlassen, ohne dass die Kontrolleiste abstürzt. Einfach weg. Umschalten zwischen Programmen nicht mehr möglich. Mit
sudo systemctl restart sddm
kann ich das wohl wieder neu starten, aber die laufenden Programme werden dabei beendet mit entsprechendem Datenverlust. Sehr nervig das ganze. Updates brachten bisher keine Besserung. Desktopstabilität echt mangelhaft. Netzsuche hat außer dem genannten Befehl auch nix gebracht.

Gerade festgestellt: wenn ich sudo shutdown ins Terminal schicke, geht er aus. Ich dachte immer, das wäre das Gleiche wie Shutdown aus dem Startmenü.
Ich werde es beobachten...

Going to install a new laptop today. I got pretty used to #ArchLinux, but I wonder if I should skip the annoying manual install process and use an install script or go with #ManjaroLinux. Or even try #NixOs? Not sure if I want different OSes on my non-servers and everything else is on Arch. Hardware is going to be a Lenovo P14s with #AMD processor (first time after always using Intel).
What do you run at the moment and why? My main reason for Arch is the AUR, awesome documentation and I want rolling releases.
Didn't have to think much about the desktop environment though, #KDEPlasma works great for me.
