AMD i HUMAIN łączą siły w inwestycji 10 miliardów USD w infrastrukturę AI

AMD i HUMAIN ogłosiły strategiczne partnerstwo o wartości 10 miliardów dolarów, mające na celu stworzenie najbardziej otwartej i skalowalnej infrastruktury sztucznej inteligencji na świecie.

Współpraca zakłada budowę globalnej sieci centrów obliczeniowych AI, rozciągającej się od Arabii Saudyjskiej po Stany Zjednoczone, które będą w pełni opierać się na zaawansowanej technologii AMD.

Inicjatywa ta stanowi kamień milowy w globalnym rozwoju sztucznej inteligencji. W ciągu najbliższych pięciu lat planowane jest uruchomienie aż 500 megawatów mocy przeznaczonej tylko do obliczeń AI. Siłą napędową tych centrów będzie kompleksowe portfolio rozwiązań AMD, obejmujące procesory (CPU), układy graficzne (GPU), jednostki przetwarzania danych (DPU), procesory Ryzen AI oraz otwarte oprogramowanie AMD ROCm.

Kluczowym założeniem projektu jest stworzenie otwartej super-struktury AI, która będzie dostępna dla szerokiego grona odbiorców – od dużych korporacji, przez dynamicznie rozwijające się startupy, po inne podmioty na całym świecie. HUMAIN będzie odpowiedzialne za kompleksową realizację projektu, włączając w to budowę hiperskalowalnych centrów danych, zapewnienie zrównoważonych źródeł energii oraz globalnych połączeń światłowodowych.

Prace nad infrastrukturą już ruszyły. Partnerzy przewidują, że pierwsze znaczące moce obliczeniowe, sięgające wielu EksaFLOPS, zostaną aktywowane już na początku 2026 roku. Inwestycja ta jest również spójna z saudyjską strategią Vision 2030, dążącą do dywersyfikacji gospodarki poprzez rozwój zaawansowanych technologii.

Dr Lisa Su, prezes i dyrektor generalna AMD, określiła tę współpracę jako ważny krok naprzód dla globalnej infrastruktury AI. Z kolei Tareq Amin, dyrektor generalny HUMAIN, podkreślił, że celem jest demokratyzacja dostępu do sztucznej inteligencji na poziomie obliczeniowym, tak aby jedynym ograniczeniem była wyobraźnia, a nie dostępność infrastruktury.
