I've been wanting to use my #Garmin watch for Suica payments. I just love the idea of not having to keep track of my IC card while on the train or running. But, I care about security/privacy and run #GrapheneOS on my phone. It looks like I *could* get it to work, but I would not only have to assign a Google Pay account to the phone, but I would have to give Google permissions for always-on location tracking. I give up. I'll just carry the damn card.

As I wandered around my life, it used to be that every minute or so my phone would tell google what I was up to... Location, app usage, screen time, who knows what... I don't know, but I could see the data flowing back and forth through the Rethink firewall logs...

Now with #GrapheneOS that's all dark. Literally none of it happens. Its email, mastodon, signal, and maybe hourly weather updates or calendar sync with my next cloud. Google knows nothing about what I'm doing day to day at all.

Anyone on #grapheneOS can you install this app from PlayStore? It is failing for me and I want to know if it is an app issue before I report the bug.
