Here is Salome Zourabichvili, legitimate President of Georgia, addressing crowds of thousands in Tbilisi on Independence Day.

Independence Day is also Day 180 of continuous protests against the illegitimate ruling Georgian Dream government. That number hardly matters any more. As the protestors rallying cry says, they will be there every day, 'Until The End!'

"Today, Georgia marks the 36th anniversary of the April 9, 1989 massacre of pro-independence demonstrators in Tbilisi by the Soviet Army, in which 21 people were killed and hundreds injured by poison gas used by Soviet troops. Most of the victims were women beaten to death by the troops with spades. Up to 4,000 people were injured.

Protestors are guarding the memorial in Tbilisi to ensure that no member of the ruling Georgian Dream government is allowed to attend or lay flowers."

"The U.K. sanctioned two senior Georgian judges — Mikheil Chinchaladze, chairman of the Tbilisi Court of Appeals and a former member of the High Council of Justice of Georgia, and Levan Murusidze, a judge of the same court and a current member of the High Council of Justice. The UK cited their involvement in serious corruption aimed at influencing judicial appointments and taking decisions in favor of the ruling Georgian Dream party."

"Well, I think that this metaphysical feeling of freedom cannot be extinguished entirely. And it’s a total nightmare for the dictators. This is the most fragile point.

This is something that they cannot control, because it’s spiritual. It’s like faith. I believe that the person has to be free. And you cannot tell me otherwise. I’m prepared to die for it. And this is what we see manifesting in Budapest. In Belgrade. And then Tbilisi."
