Jeronimo Kataquapit who is leading a Call To Action protest in the remote wilderness of the Attawapiskat River has now started a Youtube Channel.
They are now 140 km west of Attawapiskat FN in northern Ontario and moving west to the heart of the Ring of Fire mining exploration area. They are protesting Ont Bill 5 and Canada's Bill C5 which threaten FN lands.
Here is a short video of Jeronimo Kataquapit and his family as they journey on the Attawapiskat River in solidarity with those opposing gov Bill 5 and Bill C5 that is threatening FN lands and rights.

The farm will be located on the city’s east side and will generate enough clean electricity to power 1,200 homes and reduce carbon emissions by more than 10,000 tonnes a year.

I really don't understand the politics of this.
I gather that certain conservatives of the Alberta legislation voted for a bill 54 that would/could seperate Alberta from Canada [??],
But the very first people of that land, the First Nations oppose that on the basis that it's not their land to own, based on treaty's [nr 6, 7, 8] older than the state it self.
Ah, the word of a white man...

"A wildfire is at the threshhold of Pimicikamak Cree Nation, choking the air with smoke, as the northern Manitoba community's leaders work to get 767 people out.
" 'Many that couldn't get out because the junction at Highway 374 and Highway 373 is their lifeline to Norway House, and now it's being compromised by the fire and the smoke,' Chief David Monias said Thursday morning.
"Pimicikamak had started a precautionary evacuation Friday as wildfires impacted air quality. Residents were flown out from the airport in the community, about 530 kilometres north of Winnipeg on the shores of Cross Lake, but high winds and dry conditions worsened the situation this week

"Those in Pimicikamak are among 17,000 expected to be evacuated as fires intensify in both northern and eastern Manitoba.
"Premier Wab Kinew on Wednesday evening declared a provincewide state of emergency.

The Stzʼuminus are well-known for their war canoes. The vessels can range from 19 to 52 feet long. They are made of cedar and hand carved.
