Eindelijk. Per 1/1/2026 is het eindelijk gedaan met gefriemel op een scherm om je auto te bedienen. #EuroNCAP gaat sterrren afpakken als essentiële functies niet op de juiste plaats te vinden zijn. Nu nog een verlichte geest die voor de verwarming ook knoppen voorziet en we zijn er… Weg met de schermen omdat het goedkoper is om te produceren…

They will be marking down touchscreens from this year.
I hope #EuroNCAP will not only #downgrade cars with this shit design instead of physical buttons but also hope nations like #Germany will just decalre it #RoadIllegal per design...

implement #EuroNCAP, German #TÜV and crash compatibility standards that demand guaranteed survivability for bikers, pedestrians as well as children (including biking children [!!!]), ban grills or rather ramming/pitting bars entirely and restrict headlights and taillights positions as well as bumper heights to tze point that an average 4yr old can't hide / not he seen anywhere around the vehicle - standing or sitting!
Touchscreens sind toll, aber nicht überall. Denn in Autos lenken sie zu sehr ab, zumindest wenn es um essenzielle Funktionen geht. Also the fact that the #NHTSA doesn't do #CrashCompatibility testing unlike #EuroNCAP is becond me!
Cuz a lot of the shite done in the #USA is literally banned in the #EU for being dangerous to other traffic participants like pedestrians, cyclists, bikers and smaller/lighter vehicles...

@philipdutre @TomDB Ik vergelijk die #pisa met de #EuroNCAP bij auto’s. Fabrikanten doen hun stinkende best om 5* te scoren en verliezen mijn inziens de rest van de auto uit het oog. Idem in ons onderwijs: verpletterende druk op de leerlingen om STEM scores te halen om u tegen te zeggen. Maar wat met het stimuleren van creativiteit, empathie (EQ), maatschappelijk bewustzijn, et alia? IQ is belangrijk en kan goede #pisa opleveren, maar wat met de rest van het cohort?
