OK, Discourse (the forum software, not "the discourse" about any current news) made me mad today, and that's not something that ever happens. I love Discourse, but this one is crazy.

I get mad when someone PMs me, and this damned forum software is telling people to do it behind my back. This is a support forum for an Open Source project, people are not allowed to ask for private help without paying for it. It is bonkers to recommend taking public conversations private.

J'ai parlé il y a quelque temps d'une #asso à laquelle j'adhère et qui ne communique les trucs importants que sur le groupe #facebook. Et bien ça bouge lentement mais dans le bon sens. J'ai pu leur faire une présentation de l'outil de forum #discourse et ils sont OK de basculer sur ça (et en passant, de payer ce qu'il faut pour que ça fonctionne).

Je ne partais pas gagnant (changer les habitudes, tout ça...) mais au final, je suis assez surpris de l'accueil positif.

In this new cycle of our discussion, which started in fall 2024, we will focus on the question of #power, truth and critique. The core group consists of Irene Ktori, Michael Schmidlehner, Thiago Augusto Pereira, Adel Tayebi, Johannes Angermuller. Members of the group work on ideas such as the discursive construction of technology (Adel), family policies (Irene) truth and #postTruth discourse (Johannes), environment and psychoanalysis (Michael), right-wing book publishers (Thiago).
