I like crows.

usually the magpies are in and gone before i have camera out of my pocket. not today.

An early walk this morning showed me a doe who was not worried about me at all (poor photo) and 2 bunnies at various points on my trek.

Also, I think the crows were keeping an eye on me. I heard 2 at the top of our hill, then heard 2 more in 4 different places during the 45 minute loop.

Once I got home, I went in to get coffee and peanuts, and by then one of my usual pair was already waiting in the court. I wonder if they followed me?

Roscoe: Howled half the night and then slept peacefully on the bed. Walked easier than the prior mom said. He liked his last home with dogs, people, and cats. It is much quieter here.

Good #Saturday morning from #Asheville where it was 66F when I finally dragged myself out of bed.

My #crow friends were already loud, so grabbed coffee and peanuts and went out. The blue jays have figured this out, too, and they got a couple before the #corvids deigned to land, but still came several times to take the bulk.

Even the tufted titmouses (titmice?) try, although they REALLY avoid the crows. Funny to watch, the nuts in shell are about half their body size.

I hope sometime the crows get to the point they don't grab the peanuts and fly off.
