Just downloaded #CoMaps as an experiment - haven't tried it in the car with #AndroidAuto yet, but also found there seems to be a some delay between the app making use of an #OpenStreetMap dataset (in this case the map is 2025-06-25 ).

This is understandable as it must take a fair bit of time to get all the data across and maybe it has to be validated (otherwise trolls/vandals could end up causing all sorts of chaos) - found in the FAQ that CoMaps apparently updates 1-4 times each month (which if true seems fairly good and better than some commercial apps!)

So. @CoMaps gibt es jetzt auch für das #IPhone. Derzeit schauen #CoMaps und #OrganicMaps sich noch sehr ähnlich.

Mal sehen, wann die CoMaps Entwickler:innen erste eigene Wege gehen.

1 : Ouvrir #OsmAnd ou #OrganicMaps ou #CoMaps
2 : Chercher "Eau potable"
3 : Cliquer sur "Afficher Eau Potable"

4 : Constater que les sources et robinets publics ne sont pas présents sur ta commune
5 : Contribuer aux communs numériques

6 : Ne pas utiliser Google Maps qui n'affiche pas les trucs collectifs et gratuits indispensables à la survie de l'humanité puisque Google ne touche pas de revenus publicitaires

Tiens en migrant de Organic Maps à #CoMaps (export / import nickel). Je me rends compte que j’ai dépassé les 4 000 contributions à #OpenStreetMap. Je continue mon modeste travail de jardinage quasi quotidien et je kiff toujours autant.

Vite ! L'appli carto #CoMaps à la rescousse ! Elle indique points d'eau, bibliothèques et parcs !

I have been trying to use CoMaps to add some places to Open Street Map. They show in my version of the map, but not OSM. I'm logged into OSM in my CoMaps app. I can't work out if this is normal and it does a monthly update or if there is a problem.
