@sirber I’m going with Python personally (because OMG I don't want to do .net). I spent the first 10 years of my career writing #CFML and it seemed like half of that crowd switched to #golang in the end. That's probably a positive sign.

#cfml and #cfscript are not dead platforms. When well written, their elegance and simplicity beats chasing the next, in-fashion nodeJS library any day.

At one point in my career, I used #cfml to scan 65,536 IP addresses for public web servers on standard ports. I was very good / very comfortable with #coldfusion, so I figured why not?
