For #FotoMontag here's Beaumaris Castle on the island of Anglesey off Wales, taken in 2011. A very nicely-designed castle with wonderful symmetry and in a pretty decent state of repair given its age of the late 13th century onwards.

The view for this morning’s pre-breakfast stroll

I first came upon this tŷ hir (longhouse in English) near Brynsiencyn a couple of years ago and I go over there every so often to sketch it and to see how it's changing.

I went over again today as I've had it in mind as a home for my ghostly figures 'y wraig' and 'y gŵr'. Having sketched it again and at a larger scale, I feel like I'm almost ready to put everything together and to start working on the lino.

Last time I used regionally appropriate dialect in a translation of #Hagio’s Poe Clan, a reviewer complained. What are they going to say when they see the new Poe stories, which begin on #Anglesey, where the majority of residents speak Welsh? To top it off, it’s set in 1944, when the percentage was presumably higher. Time to find a #Welsh consultant. I’m totally serious.
