Visiting the #Gasometer #Oberhausen is not only about the exhibitions inside, but also for the view from the roof.

When visiting the exhibitions I always take the outside elevator to the roof first.
After a round on the roof I take the inside glass elevator down to the exhibition.
You have a really nice view of the big top exhibition room when decending this elevator!

These are some views from the roof of Oberhausen and everything around. On clear days you have a pretty good view into the distance.

In the last photo you can see the spoil heap Beckstraße with the Tetraeder in Bottrop.

Some #tram #tracks for #TrainTrackTuesday 🚋

This #avenue is the #Herrenkrugstraße in #Magdeburg, which crosses the lovely #Elbauenpark (I took this photo on the pedestrian bridge that connects both sides of the park). If you go right at the end of this #road, you'll end up in my village 5 mins later 😉

We are back in #Marl and ready to land at the Marl Loemühle Airport (EDLM).

The first two images are not yet in Marl.
The first image shows the spoil heap near the Honermann settlement at the former General Blumenthal 8 mine in Oer-Erkenschwick.

The second image shows a campsite in Oer-Erkenschwick.

In the third image we started landing over the freeway A43.

We are now over #Herne with views to Wanne-Eickel.

The firstimage shows the Pluto mine in Herne with the Pluto-Wilhelm spoil heap.

In the second and third image you can see the Wanne-Eickel main station.

The last image shows the Rhine-Herne Canal and the Emscher in front of the Waste-fired power plant in Herne.

We are now on the east side of #Essen near the border to #Bochum (#Wattenscheid and #Dahlhausen).

The first image shows the border region.
The living quaters on the right are still in Essen, these are Freisenbruch at the Bottom and Horst at the top.
The left goes to Bochum. Wattenscheid is in the straigt left, Dahlhausen at the top left.

The second image shows the main trainline we saw back in the center of essen.
At the bottom of the image below the trainline is Essen Freisenbruch, above is Essen Host.
You can see the east city swimming pool (Bad und Sport Oststadt) relatively in the center.

The third image is again a view in the direction to Bochum Wattenscheid, which can be seen in the distance.

The last image has Essen Freisenbruch in the bottom and a view to Essen Steele. You can also see the Ruhr from here.

From #Essen centrum we are now heading towards the eastern part of Essen: Huttrop, Kray, Leithe and Freisenbruch.

There are two cementries on the way.
In the first image you see a big green place near the middle with many trees. This is the Eastern Cemetery.
In the second image you can see a big park structure on the right, this is the park cementry.

We are also following the main trainline and the A40 (Ruhr expressway) here.
