Thanks to @victorvandort for dealing with this.
Even though Pan is a tiny volunteer-run instance, so many hours of downtime should never be happening. We are discussing about how to avoid such long outages in the future.

(Finally) switched to UbuntuStudio 24 LTS.
Had to set up the system new because upgrading didn't work.
I have my home folder backup'ed but simply copying the configs and "dot" files doesn't bring me my established setup back (and is not recommended anyway afaik). Is there a quick way f.e. to get my thunderbird layout with my local folders and filters and all that to work with thw new install or do i really have ro crawl to all that setting fukushima again?
Also having to sync my @joplinapp completely again instead of loading the sync status from the old system would be a pain.
Noob-directed advise anyone!?
