@oliver everyone in front of me was at least 1,90 m tall and I was less than 5 m away from the stage but I'm used to it, and sometimes I find spots with a really good view anyway.

Well... more often than not tall people end up infront of all the shorter ones not because they're dragged there but because they just go there. I've had quite a few cases, where someone much taller than me navigated throught people just to stop right in front of me, sometimes even so close that they touched me.
I don't think that it happens on purpose, though.
It's mostly just mindlessness, because they have no clue how much a short person has to struggle to see anything.

Also in many venues the stage is not high enough to counter the effects of tall people in the front rows.
That's why I love venues that are former operas or theatres, because they usually have a high stage as well as an auditorium that's higher in the back than right in front of the stage.
